Hi, I'm Shane Owenby.
Founder · YourNewFirm.com · Austin, TX
I run EmailForProfessionals.com — we give professionals (lawyers, doctors, accountants, consultants) their own email at their own domain. [email protected] instead of [email protected]. Real identity, same workflow, deliverability handled.
After a year of doing that for established practices, I kept hearing the same thing from brand-new lawyers: "I don't want to learn to build a website, configure DNS, or set up professional email. I want to text 'just passed the bar' on Friday and have my own domain + website + email by Sunday."
YourNewFirm.com does that, end-to-end in 48 hours. 1st year is $999.
Why a separate service for new firms?
EmailForProfessionals.com is the simpler product. A professional — lawyer, doctor, accountant, consultant — already has a domain (or wants one), and they're using a gmail.com / aol.com / yahoo.com address for client communication. We move them to a real professional email at their own domain: [email protected]. They can keep the Gmail interface if that's the workflow they like ("Send Mail As" integration), or use a clean inbox elsewhere — their call. We register the domain if needed, configure MX / SPF / DKIM / DMARC correctly so the email actually lands in the inbox, and monitor deliverability so it stays that way. $399 first year ($200 setup + $199/yr), $199/yr renewal — about an hour of customer time start-to-finish.
Most EFP customers are already established. They've been practicing for years, they have clients, they have a website (or have decided they don't need one). What changed is that they finally noticed a gmail.com address in their signature makes them look smaller than their work deserves. The switch is simple because they already have most of the pieces — they're upgrading one thing.
New lawyers have a different problem. They're not upgrading one thing — they're missing the whole stack. No domain. No website. No professional email. No DNS. No HTTPS. They could spend month one stitching together Squarespace + Google Workspace + a registrar + a third-party SSL + a DMARC checker — or they could spend month one practicing law.
YourNewFirm.com exists because that month is the most expensive month of a new firm's life, and burning it on infrastructure is the wrong trade. Same operator (me + my team), same email/DNS/deliverability backbone as EFP, just sold as a complete launch package instead of an email upgrade.
What we ship
- Domain registered in your name (.com / .net / .org / .us / .co; premium TLDs available)

- Professional email — up to 3 mailboxes, your choice of Gmail integration or our native webmail
- SPF / DKIM / DMARC configured correctly so your email lands in the inbox
- HTTPS, DNS hardening, monitoring, and an AI-discoverable schema layer (llms.txt + JSON-LD) so AI search engines can find and cite your firm
- 48-hour go-live SLA — if we miss, full refund
What you're paying for
$999 first year covers all of the above. $299/yr after keeps it running — domain renewal, email service, monitoring, and 2 hours/yr of changes. The math works because the template is the same for every customer; what changes is the configuration, content, and the 11 design choices you make at /customize/.
If you outgrow the template and want a fully custom site, I'll recommend someone — we don't do that work and won't pretend to. The honest fit for YourNewFirm is "I want to look real on day one, I'll evolve later."
Who builds your site
YourNewFirm is a service of Life But Easier, a small Austin, TX team. Same humans answer your email. Same humans build your site. No outsourced agency, no support ticket queue.
