Terms of Service
Last updated: May 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the email setup and management services ("Service") provided by Life But Easier, doing business as YourNewFirm.com ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
YourNewFirm provides professional email setup and ongoing management services. This includes:
- Domain DNS configuration and email routing setup
- Email address creation and configuration
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC security configuration
- Ongoing email service maintenance and support
- Domain registration (for new domain customers)
2. Pricing and Payment
Our Service is priced as follows:
- First-year fee: $999, charged once at the time of purchase. Covers domain registration, 7-page website setup, professional email setup (up to 3 mailboxes), SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration, HTTPS provisioning, and first-year hosting + monitoring.
- Annual renewal fee: $299 per year, billed annually starting year 2. Covers domain renewal, email service, hosting, monitoring, and up to 2 hours of website changes per year.
Premium TLD registry pass-through fees (e.g. .law, .lawyer, .attorney, .legal) are not included in the $999 first-year fee and will be billed at the registry's published price with no markup.
All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your payment information directly.
3. 48-Hour Go-Live Service Level Agreement & Refund
48-hour go-live SLA: We commit to your website, email, and DNS being live within 48 hours of receiving your completed intake responses (firm name, mailbox names, registrar access where applicable).
Refund policy: If we fail to meet the 48-hour SLA for reasons within our control, you are entitled to a 100% refund of the $999 first-year fee. Refunds are processed back to your original Stripe payment method within 5 business days of the SLA miss being acknowledged.
The 48-hour clock pauses (and does not run) during periods when we are waiting on you or your registrar (e.g. you have not yet provided intake responses, accepted our DNS-access delegation invitation, or supplied a working scoped API token). See our Service Level Agreement for the full SLA mechanics, including coverage for new-domain (BYO vs we-register) timing and force-majeure exceptions.
4. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation
IMPORTANT — AUTOMATIC RENEWAL DISCLOSURE: Your annual service subscription will automatically renew each year at the then-current annual rate (currently $299/year) unless you cancel before the renewal date. This is a recurring charge.
In compliance with Texas House Bill 2259 (Business & Commerce Code, Chapter 608):
- We will send you a renewal reminder notice at least 30 days before each annual renewal date
- The reminder will include the renewal date, amount to be charged, and instructions to cancel
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Stripe billing portal
- If you cancel, your service will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods
5. Domain Ownership
If we register a domain on your behalf:
- The domain is registered in your name and belongs to your business
- You may request a domain transfer at any time
- Domain registration fees are included in your service fee for the first year; subsequent domain renewals are included in the annual service fee
- If you cancel our Service, you are responsible for renewing and managing your domain independently
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use our Service to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam)
- Send phishing emails or engage in fraud
- Distribute malware or harmful content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate another person or entity
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you violate this acceptable use policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
8. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% email uptime. For specific commitments, see our Service Level Agreement. We are not responsible for outages caused by third-party providers, domain registrars, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
9. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Travis County, Texas.
11. Email Architecture and Mailbox Access
Our Service supports two configurations. Privacy and security implications differ between them — please review carefully.
Default configuration: Gmail send-as (used by ~95% of customers)
In this configuration, your email is delivered to and stored in your existing Gmail account. We configure your domain's DNS so that mail addressed to [email protected] is routed (via Forward Email) to your existing Gmail inbox; we then configure Gmail's "Send mail as" feature so outbound mail shows your custom domain.
- YourNewFirm access: We do not have ongoing access to your mailbox. Setup is a one-time DNS/configuration task; we do not retain your Google credentials and cannot read messages stored in your Gmail account.
- Forward Email's role: Forward Email is in the message routing path but does not store messages at rest in this configuration. See Forward Email's Privacy Policy for details.
- Where your mail lives at rest: Your Gmail account, governed by Google's existing privacy and security policies. The privacy posture of your mailbox does not change as a result of using our Service.
Alternative: Forward Email IMAP mailbox (opt-in)
Customers who prefer not to use Gmail can elect to use Forward Email's encrypted IMAP mailbox as their mailbox provider. In this configuration, mailbox contents are encrypted at rest such that neither YourNewFirm nor Forward Email can decrypt them; you access your mailbox through Forward Email's webmail or any standard IMAP/SMTP client. Available on request — contact us to discuss.
Important — password recovery is not possible. Because Forward Email's encrypted IMAP mailbox is end-to-end encrypted, your password is the only key that can decrypt your messages. Neither YourNewFirm nor Forward Email retains a copy of your password, and neither can recover or reset it. If you lose your password, the contents of your mailbox are permanently unrecoverable. You are solely responsible for storing your password securely; we strongly recommend a reputable password manager. This is a fundamental property of end-to-end encryption — it is the same trade-off any encrypted-mailbox provider (Proton, Tutanota, etc.) requires. Customers who are not comfortable with this trade-off should choose the default Gmail Send-Mail-As configuration instead, where password recovery is handled by Google.
